Providing Comfort Where I Can

I’m tired of saying “I’m sorry,” but what else can I say to a mother who not only lost almost everything in this flood and watched as it took over her home, but now busts her butt to do what she can for her two young girls?

What else can you say but “I’m sorry”? Even though I’m so sorry this happened to every single resident I’ve met the last few days in West Virginia, I’m tired of saying it because those words cannot cover the depth of my feelings. I hate saying it, but at least I’m here to take action and provide comfort where I can.
